about tabletopnotch
started from a basement, now... in a much bigger basement

The year was 2019. Matt and Jordan were big fans of dragons – and they were skeptical, but open-minded, about dungeons. By bringing on some friends who saw the merits of both, tabletopnotch came together to make its first foray into the TTRPG actual-play scene in the spring, and since then it’s been a nonstop series of unforgettable adventures. The channel may look and sound a little different from that first livestream, but the goal has always remained the same.
TELL NEW STORIES THAT EXCITE AND INSPIRE

Everything you see on tabletopnotch is homebrew and homemade – right down to the very table we play on! Our campaigns are all 100% original stories that use D&D (and other TTRPGs) as a framework for storytelling, with an ever-expanding variety of unique worlds to explore and absurd situations to laugh at. The friendly folks you see on-screen every week are the ones making it all happen – no tech experts, no showrunners, just undying enthusiasm and a willingness to watch hours of YouTube tutorials. But there is one thing that truly makes us “top notch”...

OUR COMMUNITY

We know we’d be absolutely nowhere without the community’s passion, support and insatiable appetite for good fantasy tales. The fan art, the crazy theories, the memes and volunteer moderation – all of it keeps us motivated and enables us to keep tabletopnotch as ad-free as possible, leaving more time for having fun and rolling dice. There’s a greeting you’ll frequently hear as you come and go from our channel, and we mean it with all our heart:

YOUR PRESENCE IS A GIFT.

When we started tabletopnotch, we had zero expectations that our cozy little corner of the internet would turn into what it is today. We never could have anticipated the level of encouragement we’ve received from viewers like you that take time out of your busy weeks to come hang out and join us on our adventures – so seriously, thank you, and we hope to see your usernames in our comment sections for years to come.
